When Jesus delivered his Sermon on The Mount, he offered his listeners a new way of connecting with the Divine. He prayed, "Our Father", or more closely translated from the Aramaic, "Our Daddy." With the Lord's Prayer, Jesus modeled a new relationship between humans and God: a loving, intimate and trusting relationship that has endured in Christian prayer ever since.
